Surrey, British Columbia, February 2015:
Humanitarian and leader of the eye care industry, Dr. Lee of West Coast Optical is preparing to embark on yet another global mission to bring optometry services to the less fortunate. In the spring, she will join a network of other licensed professionals to continue an operation that has provided first-time eye care services to over 8 million people worldwide.
Not only will she and her team administer eye exams and provide prescription eyewear to members of the community, their charitable efforts will leave a lasting impression upon patients on a much larger scale. Such was the case for Maria, a 2014 Peruvian patient who received glasses for the first time, allowing her to return to business pursuits that supported her family. Although stories like Maria’s are less tangible success measures of such missions, they are unquestionably crucial to cultural growth and prosperity. Lee recounts prior missions and the joy of “giving the gift of sight one person at a time.” In her words, “these are the joys and blessings of simple things.”
To BC locals in need of an experienced optometrist, Surrey’s West Coast Optical offers them solution with Dr. Lee. Last year, the company celebrated 25 years in business, offering services such as contact lens fitting and eye health and vision exams for persons of all ages. Additionally,Surrey, Langley, and the surrounding areas individuals requiring an optometrist for more complex needs, can also find relief from eye diseases and emergencies, obtain laser surgery referrals, and seek management of cataracts and glaucoma.
